In Memory of James Wade
I named my son James after you. You were the most morally decent man I’ve ever known. We grew up fishing the shores of Lake Michigan together. I spent a great deal of time with you while I was searching for direction in my life. You were a man of few words, but profound in your conviction. You didn’t serve our country, yet you embodied the patriotic ideals that I so strongly gravitate towards. Selflessness, service to others, doing good work, being honest, having the courage to tell the truth; these are the values that I hold at my core, they came from my Grandpa. I’m going to miss you.
