I’ve been thinking about veterans today. Young, old, near, far. I’ve been thinking about the universal bond that is created from our shared act of service. I’ve been thinking about how much my life benefited from my own act of service. In a world that is consumed by self, knowing that some still hold to a higher ideal gives me comfort and hope. Do more than thank a veteran this year, help one in need and receive the benefits from your own act of service. The feeling will be immeasurable.
